Don’t Miss: Exhibition of Arthur Keen’s Limpsfield prints, this week!

The Limpsfield Decorative & Fine Arts Society (Limpsfield Arts Society) and Oxted & District History Society have jointly organised an exhibition of 60 of the best prints from renowned local architect and artist, Arthur Keen who recorded and sketched all around the area in the 1930s. The exhibition includes many familiar buildings, but also a number that sadly no longer exist.

Don’t Miss: Outside the Box – A Live Show about Death

Limpsfield’s Lucy Linger Moore, owner of Fancier Dress and Director of the Threadbare Theatre Company and The Crown Inn’s “Play at the Pub Productions” are hosting their first visiting theatre company next week. OUTSIDE THE BOX – A Live Show about Death is a brilliantly funny and uplifting play, scouted by the Threadbare Theatre Company at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Watch Out Watch Out – Ticks are about in Limpsfield!

This week one of my dogs came home with a ride-along passenger – a tick. While the weather may not have been particularly spring-like this week, the temperatures have risen enough for these little critters to re-appear after the winter. Limpsfield and its surrounds is perfect for these creatures with its grassy commons and woodland areas.

Friends of Limpsfield Common – call for volunteers

The fabulous Friends of Limpsfield Common is a dedicated group of around 40 volunteers who meet every week to help the National Trust to keep Limpsfield Common and surrounds in great condition so it can be enjoyed for generations to come. They are always in need of more help, and meet on Thursdays for clearing and other work around the Limpsfield Common area.

Agony Aunt: Anxiety at work is making my life a nightmare

Dear Agony Aunty Sarah,

I have suffered from depression and anxiety for many years and was recently given a big project at work with a lot of responsibility, which has really increased my levels of anxiety.  I thought I could handle things, but everything has got on top of me and I do not know how to tell my boss that I am so behind. The deadline is approaching and no-one knows that I haven’t done my job properly yet. I’m so worried, I can’t sleep at night and I don’t know what to do.

Surrey Dance School pupils triumph in ballet exams
