Walking in Limpsfield

The Parish of Limpsfield is very fortunate to be in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, at the foot of the North Downs and The Weald. It’s a great place for walking with three famous walks going through this area: the Greensand Way, North Downs Way and Vanguard Way.

It has many beautiful walks through ancient National Trust woodland, around the “animal houses” at Ridlands Grove, across fields of cattle and corn, through bluebells, around the historic Titsey Estate and through the pretty village of Limpsfield itself.

There are lots of different routes – many of which are on websites and can be downloaded with ease.

If you want some company there are a few walking groups in the area:

East Surrey Walkers run lots of different walks all year round (find out upcoming walks on their website) and keep a library of different walks – just click here and use the map to find one you want. They work in conjunction with Surrey County Council and Limpsfield Parish Council (who run a footpaths maintenance program) to ensure the footpaths are kept in good order.

Jon Rayner of Limpsfield Fitness runs guided walking groups on Sunday mornings at 1030 – starting at The Bull Inn. Info HERE.

Oxted Ladies Run also organise walking or walk-run groups.
