Limpsfield resident, Ashley Fosdike has decided to charity trek to Madagascar for two weeks. She leaves on 25th October. Her chosen charity, Combat Stress, looks after military personnel and their families affected by mental health issues, including PTSD.
Limpsfield’s favourite dress-up and party destination, Fancier Dress at Wickhams Stores, will have been a central part of the village for a decade on Thurs October 19th.
To celebrate 10 years of helping local parties be that little bit fancier, Fancier Dress is inviting customers – past, present and future – to help celebrate and have a snoop around their new premises at the back of their old shop, now inhabited by the Avalanche Gallery. Yes, we do live in a lovely, quiet and generally safe area, but recently there have been a number of people in the Limpsfield area purportedly selling door-to-door or delivering leaflets who may not be as genuine as they claim. There has also been a spate of crime in the wider Oxted area, including break-ins, car theft (from driveways) and burglaries.

Limpsfield in Bloom received another Gold medal last week in the ‘South & South East in Bloom’ competition run annually by the Royal Horticultural Society. Limpsfield was also awarded the ‘Best Large Village’ award for the South and South East and the allotments were given an ‘outstanding’ accolade! In conjunction with the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Chic Grooming is holding a Treat Tasting day this Friday, 29 September, 10am to 4PM. The fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support requires a small donation of £2.00 per dog and £2.00 per human.

This Sunday, 24th September, St Peter’s Limpsfield invites all families to celebrate Harvest at Messy Church, an afternoon event from 3.30-5.30pm in the Millennium Room of St Peter’s Church.
