Limpsfield’s own Kari Pridden of Memorial Stores and The Bull Inn’s Adrienne Gray were both interviewed on BBC Radio Surrey on July 31st, talking about the challenges faced by small villages in keeping up with modern life, but maintaining a sense of community.
With so many villages now struggling to maintain a working community, BBC Surrey wanted to know the challenges faced and Limpsfield’s secret formula!

In case you didn’t know, on May 2 there are local elections going on. These elections are important to your interests and life in your local community. As well as the Tandridge Council Elections, there are also the Parish Council Elections and the vote to support the Limpsfield Neighbourhood Plan. These votes will all be cast at the same time.

Calling all blossoming photographers! In celebration of its tenth anniversary, the Limpsfield Community Orchard is holding a photo competition with entries open until October 1 2019.
The title for the competition is The Glories of the Limpsfield Community Orchard and submissions should capture the spirit of this fantastic community project.
All ages welcome – there are 3 age categories.
Photos must be submitted in print form, no larger than A4 size. Entries must be in by October 1 2019 and photographs must have been taken between September 2018 and September 2019.
Spring is a great time to see the Orchard in its full glory, so why not head there at the weekend or after school.

Yesterday it was announced that the much-loved local journalist, Kevin Black, died on New Year’s Eve in hospital, after a second bout of the cancer he fought off a few years ago. Once again, the village was transformed for Limpsfield in Bloom with hanging baskets, pots, flower beds and other displays colouring the village in a sea of purple, green and white to celebrate the end of WW1 and the suffragette movement, with judging day taking place last Thursday (5 July).
This year, however, the Limpsfield in Bloom organisers decided to go one bigger, staging the first Limpsfield Flower Festival and Celebration Concert in conjunction with St Peter’s Church. Continue reading “Limpsfield & St Peter’s Go Floral!”
