We have another lovely shop opening in Limpsfield next month! Judie Sherriff, owner of Meldon House & Home (currently at The Old Dairy opposite the Everyman Cinema in Oxted) is opening a specialist shop,  Time 2 Paint @ Meldon House that will focus on her decorative paint business as official Surrey stockist for Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan.

The shop will be located in The Old Bakery’s smaller shop space, previously inhabited by Sauvarin Withers jewellery and is due to open first week of June.

This is a gorgeous little shop front, formerly Sauvarin Withers and opposite the soon-to-open cafe at Kiwi House (formerly The Perfect Blend) has been empty for a couple of years now and will look lovely cheered up with Judie’s flair for exterior and interior style.

“We’re so excited to be moving our Annie Sloan decorative paints into into this gorgeous boutique”, said Judie Sherriff, who has lived in the area for over 25 years.

“This is such a beautiful shop in a fantastic location. From here, we will also sell a selection of clocks and smaller pieces of furniture and homewares, faux flowers flowers and of course our fabulous Meldon House & Home range of scented candles and diffusers. We will also be continuing our picture framing business from the Limpsfield shop.”

Judie loves the location so much, she even commissioned a beautiful painting by local landscape artist, Tony Lawman, who has painted the High Street entirelyin Chalk Paint®.

Judie Sherriff and her partner Allen Hartley are also in search of a barn from which to run the furniture / homewares business and workshops.

“We are potentially looking for a larger and more creatively conducive space, such as a barn or other rustic outbuilding with parking”, said Judie, whose Meldon House & Home business will move from Oxted on May 21st. “If anyone knows of such a building in the area, we’d be really interested to hear from them!”

From 21st May, until they have decided on a new space, larger pieces of furniture and homewares can be viewed by appointment only from Judie and Allen’s home.
