Last week, Helen Ellson, Chair of The Limpsfield Community Orchard, met with the children at Limpsfield’s CofE Infants School who penned the winning poems in this year’s Community Orchard Poetry Competition.

The annual competition, sponsored by Limpsfield Community Orchard encourages the children, who regularly visit the Orchard on nature trips, to write about apples and pears and how they feel about seeing them grow!

The winning poems are laminated and hung on the trees for all visitors to read. Go and have a look when you’re next passing (park at Grub Street and follow the trail signs to the Community Orchard).
