The great Limpsfield clear up has been going on now for a couple of months with a dedicated army of dedicated National Trust Volunteers meeting every Thursday to help thin out the trees on Limpsfield Common and the High Chart.
Come rain or shine they’ve been out in the elements with professional tree surgeons and the National Trust to fell, thin, prune, chop, stack and generally tidy up the woodland after few winters of bad storms had created havoc in some areas and the holly bushes had taken over.
Now the views are back and the woodland areas are a lot tidier, safer, brighter and ready for local residents and visitors to enjoy.
A big thanks to all the volunteers.
