There was a great turnout for The Limpsfield Cookery School‘s Gift Fair on Sunday 5th December, with lots of local creative businesses setting up in the Cookery School courtyards on Limpsfield High Street, providing Christmas cheer for the Limpsfield community and some welcome support for local business.
The Cookery School did a roaring trade in its jams, chutneys, brownie and cupcake kits, puddings and samples of its delicious mulling syrup (for the perfect mulled wine), while Lucie Bennett’s festive pudding class went on in the kitchen!
In the enclosed courtyard, local businesses included: Fergie’s Bodyscrubs, Soapy Bars, Dora Kovacs floral design, East Surrey Bees, hand sewn purses and gifts from Sue Wilcox, handmade chocolate from Lucie Bennett, Piatello olive oil and vinegar, Tropic Skincare with Kate Jones.
In the far courtyard, fashion, accessories and interiors stalls included Pomona & Ceres, Walter & Nancy Jewellery, The Three Fish one size fashion and accessories, Interiors, handmade and vintage from Sew Lovely; Debbie Temple‘s vintage items for the home with her daughter, Bumble & Fizz; Peter Wade’s beautiful woodcraft, handmade goodies from The Woodhouse Centre and handmade aprons from Tess Bing.
Across the road, Memorial Stores was open selling all their very delicious Christmas foodie gifts and Amanda Davies’ Flamingo Paperie set up next door with a huge selection of Cards, wrapping paper, calendars and festive stationery and gift tags.
If that wasn’t enough, down the high street, Sue Bey’s Bey Tree was doing a roaring trade in her fabulous clothing and accessories, while Judie’s Meldon House was open for vintage and homewares; Debbie Temple’s showroom was also open (amazing how she can be two places at once!) and Kate Tulett’s Art 4 All was open selling artwork and lots of arty goodies.
It was lovely to see the high street buzzing with so much enthusiasm for local entrepreneurs and a huge thank you to everyone who braved the chilly wind.
All the above businesses are still selling their gifts in the run up to Christmas, so please get in contact via their websites or social media.
