Surrey Dance School Fathers Day Special Performance

On Sunday, June 18th, Limpsfield-based Surrey Dance School will perform its very first dance show, ‘Wish Upon A Star’, at a special Fathers Day performance of 60 pupils, at Woldingham Village Hall.  Pizza Federicci will serve their delicious pizzas and ice cream for tea, with a bouncy castle afterwards for all the kids to enjoy. The special show starts at 3pm and will be funded through ticket sales, with any profit going towards essential dance equipment such as portable stacking mirrors and ballet barres.

Surrey Dance Wish FlyerSurrey Dance School has been going from strength to strength since its launch, with pupils coming from Limpsfield, Oxted, Woldingham, Warlingham, Caterham, East Grinstead, Lingfield and Felbridge!

Tarryn Leigh Owen, who started Surrey Dance School three years ago with 14 little ballerinas, says she now has nearly junior 70 pupils and runs adult dance classes with 16 regulars who attend weekly classes on Thursday evenings.

It’s the highlight to my week, says Tarryn, as its lots of fun. I absolutely love what I do – I feel very passionate about teaching dance properly,  but also about allowing kids to express themselves and have fun with it too. I have two daughters of my own who attend my classes and a very supportive husband, so I feel that I am very privileged to do something that I love.

Tarryn will be having a much-needed rest over the summer (there will be no adult summer courses this year) having spent the last 6 months working on the show as well as her regular classes.

This is a great opportunity for parents and locals to see the amazing work she achieves with the kids and have a little bit of fun with the family.
