November in Limpsfield brings time for reflection, community spirit and the first sparkle of Christmas with Fairs, Christmas parties and Festive Pub Menus all starting this month!
We begin with reflection. On Sunday 2 November at 4pm, St Peter’s will hold a special All Souls’ Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving, followed by tea and cake.
Remembrance Sunday Limpsfield:
Sunday 9 November, the Remembrance Sunday Service at St Peter’s (10am) will be held with the Limpsfield Royal British Legion and Oxted Band, followed by wreath laying and two minutes’ silence.
Please note that section of the high street will be closed temporarily for the parade.
Afterwards, everyone’s welcome at the RBL Club on Grub Street for a Finger Buffet (11.45am–2pm).
Nothing says community like sausage rolls!
There will also be a Remembrance Day Service at 10AM at St Andrew’s on Limpsfield Chart and at St Mary’s in Oxted, followed by a wreath laying service at the memorial at Master Park. The road will be closed temporarily around that time.

The festive feeling really begins with the St Andrew’s Christmas Fair on Saturday 15 November (12–2.30pm). Expect bells, soup and cheese rolls, and all your favourite stalls – cakes, books, tombola, raffle and plenty of pre-loved treasures. A perfect way to kick off the season with friends and neighbours.
Love Oxted’s Christmas event follows on Saturday 22 November, with Limpsfield Infants and Hazelwood Schools’ Christmas Fairs on Saturday 29 November.
Looking ahead – save the date for TUESDAY 9 December, when Limpsfield Village transforms into a Christmas shopping haven, with The Bull Inn, Bey Tree, The Limpsfield Home Company, Kate Tulett and Friends at Wickhams Courtyard all hosting festive stalls, gifts and delicious treats. The Bull 11AM-4PM and Wickhams Courtyard: 10AM-3PM.
Over at Oxted Library, there’s plenty to tempt you in from the cold:
- Tuesday 11 November, you can Meet the Beat (3.45–4.45pm) and chat with your local Community Officer.
- On Friday 21 November (2.30–3.30pm), local author Roseanna Rolph will be talking about her book Dear Mr Snippet (£2 including refreshments).
- And on Thursday 27 November (10.30am–12pm), it’s Christmas Coffee, Craft & Chat – make your own festive cards and enjoy some seasonal cheer.
Over at The Bull Inn, there’s a packed November ahead!
Things kick off with a Clairvoyant Evening on Tuesday 4 November (doors open 4pm), followed by their first-ever Musical Bingo hosted by Dom on Sunday 9 November at 6.30pm. Enjoy live music from James Dyer on Friday 14 November (7–9pm), get competitive at Quiz Night on Thursday 20 November (8pm), and join the Community Dog Walk on Sunday 23 November – teas and coffees from 10am, walk at 10.30. To top it off, their festive menu launches Wednesday 26 November, so get your bookings in early!
If fireworks are more your thing, the Limpsfield Arts Society has a sparkling lecture on Wednesday 26 November – “Gone in a Flash: A History of Firework Displays” – complete with drinks and mince pies at Limpsfield Church Hall.
The RBL Club Limpsfield has live music from “Word of Mouth” on Saturday 29 November (8–11pm).
