Christmas in Limpsfield

December is always a lovely time in Limpsfield and there’s plenty to do, including eating, drinking, partying and shopping! Here’s the low-down of what’s going on this festive month… As featured in December’s Oxted Local.

The Limpsfield Home Company at Wickham’s Courtyard

There’s a fabulous new tenant in the courtyard just in time for Christmas, joining Bey Tree, Free to Be Yoga, Oxted Framing and Kate Tulett’s Art 4 All… The Limpsfield Home Company is a collaboration between two artistic and creative friends, Carolyn Orr and ceramicist, Debbie Wisniewski. They have a lovely selection of beautiful handcrafted items, including ceramics, art, candles, throws, cushions and other home decor plus cards, wrap and other festive stationery and giftwrap. Follow them on @thelimpsfieldhomecompany on Instagram, and Facebook.

Where to buy presents

Limpsfield Village has some wonderful shops, with fabulous present ideas for all the family… for foodie gifts, there’s Memorial Stores and The Limpsfield Cookery School; for fashion and accessories, head to Bey Tree and for homewares, pop in to see The Limpsfield Home Company – both at Wickham’s Courtyard and open Thursday to Saturday 10-4pm.

As well as delicious food, Coffee at Kiwi House also sells as selection of bags and painted jars which are great as gifts. For artwork, cards, prints and lots of other items, head to Kate Tulett’s Art for All and for health, beauty and wellbeing gifts and vouchers, pop into Free To Be Yoga, Balman Aesthetics or Limpsfield Fitness.

Light Up Limpsfield this December

As ever, we love seeing all the door wreaths and twinkly lights about the Village and Chart Village. Please try your best to make Limpsfield sparkle!   The annual St Peter’s Christmas Tree Parade is a wonderful event each year with a line of trees all sponsored and dressed by local businesses and organisations. This year, the trees need to be dressed and ready to impress by the end of w/c 9th December. Enquiries to St Peters: 01883 712512

Where to get your tree…

Northdowns Nursery just off Titsey Road (lane by The Boys Home) usually has its lovely trees in by the last weekend of November or first weekend of December, but be quick, they don’t last long!

Please note, that despite the road closure sign at the start of Titsey Road, there is still access to Northdown Nursery – the road closure is further up.

Don your Christmas Jumpers for Children in Need!
