Our fabulous local stores and village post office, Memorial Stores, on Limpsfield High Street has been a key part of Limpsfield life for decades, being owned/run by the community in its current form since 1999.

While the stores is manned on a day to day basis by its dedicated volunteers, it has a couple of paid jobs, one of which is that of Morning Assistant, the role that ensures the stores are opened on time every morning and ready to serve the community, come rain or shine!

Morning Assistant, Limpsfield Memorial Stores

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focussed person to join our team in July, working 7 – 9.30am daily, from Monday to Saturday.  Your role will be to open the shop ready for business each morning – putting out newspapers and magazines, fruit and vegetables, bread and cakes, setting up the till, checking stock and deliveries, and working with our Shop Manager and volunteers to provide exemplary service to our customers.  

The shop and Post Office has been run by the community for the community since 1999, and is a much loved local facility, so we are looking for someone who will be committed to our values. 

This role will suit a hard working early riser with good numerical and communication skills and a sound understanding of IT, with corresponding typing skills. 

This would be great for someone looking for a part-time role, but wanting to keep their days largely free. 

For the right candidates, we will consider job sharing and the role may suit a student on an interim basis.
