Looking forward to a blooming great June in Limpsfield!

June is the month of fairs, fetes and markets in Limpsfield with lots going on, including a bumper weekend in the village on June 29th and 30th.

We start off June with the Maker’s Market at St Peter’s Hall on Saturday 1st June, 10am-3pm. Make sure you go and see all the amazingly creative people selling delicious food, jewellery, contemporary crochet bags and accessories, artwork, ceramics, stationery and lots more.

And talking of talented people, the annual Artists Studio / Art in June is back, with Kate Tulett’s studio, Art for All on Limpsfield High Street showcasing her own artwork alongside visiting artists, Carolyn Orr and Kim Sullivan 1-22nd June.

On Saturday June 8th, The Limpsfield Royal British Legion will be celebrating 80th Anniversary of D-Day with an afternoon of entertainment up at Grub Street, including live music, 40s Fancy Dress (with prizes) and Billy’s Burger and Bangers. 12.30PM onwards. Members and Non-Members very welcome as ever. Look out for the D Day decorations in Limpsfield Village too.

Football fans can watch all the Euros games at both The Legion and The Bull from 14th June.

It’s all about the Chart on Sunday 23rd June, with the annual Chart Fair at the Chart Cricket Club, 12-4pm. Lots of stalls, entertainment, BBQ, live music and dog show…

Then on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th it’s the BIG WEEKEND in Limpsfield Village!

There will be loads going on, so make sure you come along to support your local community.

On Saturday it’s the Limpsfield Infant’s School/St Peter’s Village Fete on Glebe Meadow. 12-4pm, with stalls, dance show, entertainment, BBQ, tombola and dog show. Start the day off with breakfast or brunch at Coffee at Kiwi House then it’s the fete and also the Limpsfield Club’s summer tournament finals day.

PLEASE walk into the village if at all possible. It will be BUSY!

On Sunday it’s The Limpsfield Cookery School’s annual summer fayre from 11am to 3pm. This is a lovely market held in the courtyards opposite Memorial Stores, featuring delicious food, drink, flowers and plants, craft, candles and more, with Pimm’s and BBQ thrown in for good measure.

All weekend, The Bull Inn will be opening early from 10am and it’s Bey Tree‘s 4th anniversary in Limpsfield High Street’s Wickham’s Courtyard. So, to mark the occasion Bey Tree and friends will be open all weekend from 10am-4pm with lots of fabulous clothing, accessories, and homewares, a raffle and celebratory glass of fizz for visitors!

Don’t forget that Limpsfield in Bloom is all about biodiversity this summer… Our allocated judging day is Wednesday 3rd July, so please make sure all your baskets, pots, borders and planters are looking blooming lovely. Think natural, native plants and flowers. And why not add a bee or bug hotel or bird box to your front garden? It’s all about helping the birds and the bees to thrive!

If you’re following the exploits of Limpsfield’s Biodiversity Corner then make sure you look out for your task for June.

SO much going on this month. Have a great June!
